THE RAINS PREVAIL, BUT RACERS SPIRITS CANNOT BE DAMPENED… July 18, 2008
Canaan, NH- The rains may have prevailed enough to cancel the events but the spirit of the competitors can not be dampened. With an anticipated full field of cars, the rescheduled night of events will continue this week.
Canaan Dirt Speedway’s Q106 weekly racing series sponsored by Shaker Valley with the race for the Spencer Rocke Memorial wasn’t able to be completed but a tentative rescheduled date is set for August 8th. The Granite State Mini Sprints will be rescheduled at a later date for their next appearance.
Other news for this week is the signing up of several new cars to the already fiercely growing numbers of racers here at Canaan Dirt Speedway. The car counts are awesome and the fans are being treated every week, to on the edge of your seat competition and great comradery, among our racers. These guys & gals put their heart and soul every week into the show and that makes for great racing.
In getting spectators of all ages out to the races to join us, Canaan Dirt Speedway has extended a huge welcome to the Mascoma Senior Center to come and join us Friday July 25th for a great night of entertainment. Also on tap will be the Kids Club painting another demo car under the leadership of Cheryl Kendall. Cheryl has done a fantastic job for the kids and that’s what our facility is all about, bringing families together for some great inexpensive family fun. Please come on down and join us. You’ll be glad you did.
While we have the chance, we would like to thank all our sponsors and in particular our great array of staff. Without your dedicated commitment every week, the show would not go on. Also to quickly mention, we are looking for several volunteers to be part of the banquet committee. If you are interested, please contact Janine Brown @632-7788 or sales@browniesauto.com .
